I am going to be removing both door panels for a cleaning and a dye job. My question is before I start, is there anything I should change while its off, ie. Anti-rattles?

Let me know, I want to order them before I start.

Thanks, Cel

get some white grease so you can lub up everything.
what color is your interior?

yes change the anti rattles fer sure and lube it all up..check for anything thats loose and inspect the door inside for rust now is the time to fix that

On my 80, I was having problems with the power door locks. The passenger side would move in and out when I hit the switch, but not far enough to actually lock/unlock the door. It was very hard to move physically too. The drivers side was slow. I disassembled the lock mechanism and found the little swivel assembly that all the rods connect to was pretty corroded and sticking. I cleaned the corrosion off the best I could and lubed it really well and that took care of my lock problem. Like the others mentioned, I lubed the window tracks and mechanisms and the windows go up and down much better now. I would also get some adhesive to reattach the plastic shield under the door panel.
