Hello Everyone!

:w

Just purchased a 2001 Silver Corvette. Every time I close the drivers door it rattles. Are there any pictures with posts on how to remove the inner door panel without wrecking/tearing it up?
Thank you!

Henry

Hi there,
If you reference the attached, you will find 2 T30 torx fasteners behind the handle trim plate. Then, you remove the bezel around the door release handle. The panel will then pull away from the bottom after releasing the retainers. You will then pull up away from the door.
Just remember, it is easier with the window down.

Thank you

Thank you, I'll give it a shot!

HI there,
Here is a better set of diagrams.
Due to inability of posting multiple images on one post, I am submitting links to a site that hosts my diagrams at no cost to the Corvette community.
First, http://www.photohost.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1702&password=&sort=7&thecat=658 This shows the plug that should be pryed out with a small flatblade screwdriver. It will just pop out.
Second, http://www.photohost.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1703&password=&sort=7&thecat=658 This shows the handle bezel. This is a little tough to remove, and there is a strong hand required to pull the bezel away from the panel, as you slide a flatblade screwdriver one of the 2 slots inside the handle area.
Third, http://www.photohost.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1704&password=&sort=7&thecat=658 This shows the power window switch, just remember, pry out from the bottom on the drivers side only, and pry out from the top on the passenger side only. Otherwise the switch will be broken.
Fourth, http://www.photohost.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1701&password=&sort=7&thecat=658 This is your 2 T30, or star fasteners.
Hope this will help in your situation.
