Rephrased vacuum question

May I rephrase my question. If I wanted to supply full time vacuum to my distributor's vacuum advance can, on my '71 list 4801/4150 holley, which port should I use? I am a sort of novice, so please dumb it down for me.

I'm using an edelbrock avs, the manifold vacuum is on the drivers side & ported on the right, hope this helps.

Any one of the proper sized ports down on the base plate. If you can feel vac there with your finger when idling, then that is full time vac. Hope this helps. I will look at my 4150 tomorrow (Saturday) and reply again if necessary. It's a pleasure to try to help someone trying to learn.
