LT4 replace LT1 knock sensor with LT4 sensor

when I was at my local chevy dealer's parts counter the other day, the guy suggested that I replace the LT1 knock sensor with a knock sensor from the LT4 engine. He said the LT1 sensor was much more sensitive than the LT4 one and thus retards your ignition more. Any truth to this ? thanks for any info.

I have seen this reported on the internet on many, many LT1 sites. I put in an LT4 module. I do not know whether it helped, because I did a few other minimal mods at the same time. I got mine very quickly and at a reasonable price from More Performance in North Carolina.

I too would be interested to know if someone has proof one way or another. The LT4 sensors are on Ebay all the time.

Anyone else have first hand knowledge?
