3 piece front for 70 coupe
I have a 70 coupe that has been sitting in my shop for about 20 years, and I have decided to restore it. The front had been damaged when I purchased the car and I got a replacement front from Chevrolet. This consisted of 3 panels, one top and two side panels, with reinforcing strips to go behind the seams.
The parts appear to be made of fibreglass. They have been pressed somehow so the inside is as good as the outside.
I would like to know what is the best adhesive to use in assembling these parts and putting them on the car. Is epoxy the best, or do I use polyester resin with some form of filler(micro balloons etc) to make it thick.
When I do this, are there any things I should be particularly careful or aware of.
Thanks in advance.
