I need to get my stripping replace around my doors, windows, and back part of the top. The top is in nice condition but the rear seal stripping has a crack. Where can I order this online? How hard would this be to install myself or should I take it to a professional shop?

Also My 93 is the last year with a plastic rear window. I know they sell upgrade kits to make it a glass window. Anybody have expirence with this?

Also are complete replacement tops more durable or even more quiet than stock?

Just trying to keep my cherry 93 ragtop "cherry". LOL

Thanks.

Randy =)

the best place to buy the weatherstripping is on eBay....a complete 7 piece set can be purchassed for $199.00 plus shipping.....

As for the rear window change,,,,,,,I would not recommend it because if the top plastic window has already gone bad, the top is not to far behind...... and the cost of having this done is not worth the money....
Most of the glass windows come with defroster wires.....If your Vette is not equiped for this,,,it can be changed but there again to have someone wire it up makes it not worth while.......
seeing where you live, I would look at buying a hardtop to put on in the winter....there again one is being sold on eBay right now for $611.00...
this is just a thought...........

Well it is always stored in the winter so I dont need a hardtop or anything. The plastic window isn't bad it just is a little dull looking through it. The worst part is the stripping specially around the tops of the window and rear. I'll check e-bay though. Is it quality trim?

I seem to recall reading that this would take the yellow out of the plastic windows.
I AM NOT 100% ABOUT THIS!

You should contact the distributor and ask them.

Hmm interesting. It's not yellow though. it is just scratchy looking. Kinda the way glasses get after a while. Just dull is all.

Sorry.:duh

I thought I saw yellow in your previous post.

They do have that stuff you wipe on your glasses. I couldn't tell you the name of it though;shrug

Rear window problems..., uhm... Flitz could do the trick for you. What's the best glass place where you live? Trust 'em? Or how about your local Chevy dealer? Just a thought. Try online aftermarket folks like MidAmerica Motorworks, Eckler's, Corvette Central, etc... Or just type in---plastic window clean---as your keywords in your search box. Something's bound to turn up that'll help you. :w
