Replacing Battery

Everything has gotten so complicated. I have a 2006 convertible and am replacing the battery. I get the old battery out of the car with no problems. I pull the new battery out of the car and notice a little plastic bag on the side of it. I pull it off and read all about the wonderful world of battery venting/plugging. I'm assuming that this car doesn't have battery venting since their didn't appear to be a vent attached to the old battery when I took it out of the car. If that is in fact the case, do I need to plug this battery? I don't see a plug on the old one.

Thanks in advance.

Bob

Vents are usually only used on batteries mounted in the right rear compartment, ie: Z06 and ZR1.

If the OE battery didn't have a vent then discard the vent kit which came with the new battery.
