Hello,

Has anyone out there replaced the idler pully on the drivers side
of an LT-1 ? Mine is obviously bad...just checked it. Has a flat spot on it where it froze up and the serpentine belt sanded it. It's free now, but has an obvious wobble. While looking at it, I thought that the pully on the tensioner looked like the same pully. Is it the same part? If it is, do I have to do anything special to get it off the tensioner? Finally, I am new to the LT-1 (just bought the car) and while looking at the water pump, saw where a tiny bit of coolant was leaking on one of the bolts that hold the front cover on the water pump. All of the bolts accepted a little tightening. I was surprised to see that the pump didn't have a pully on the front. What drives it...the end of the camshaft? Is it a pain in the @%&#@ to change?

Thanks for any information,

Aeroman

I THINK the pulleys are the same, Yes the water pump is driven (indirectly) off the cam, No, its not that bad to change,Make sure to keep the OPTI-SPARK DRY!!!!!!! they dont like moisture!!!!!!!:D
