Replacing rear dust shield

I think I have to repalce the right side dust shield as it appears the parking brake must have froze on the previous owner and the hole the arm goes through is tore up. I have looked everywhere for information and so far nothing. I know that someone out there will point me in the right direction. Thanks.

The problem is that you have to take apart the trailing arm to replace the dust shield. PG.

to replace the plate you need to remove the spindle, which will wreck the bearings in most cases, so you're now looking at a full T/A rebuild.

Yup, the spindle is in the way and what a PITA job it is to do emergency brake shoe replacement with the spindle onad.
