I know this has been asked before but how difficult is it to replace the serpentine belt? Is there anything special in doing this?

Thanks!!!:w

This is not difficult as long as you have nice big breaker bar to rotate the belt tensioner clockwise while you remove the belt.
Make sure all surfaces that contact the belt are clean, re-install and fire it up to check for squeals.....

Have fun!

Serpentine Belt

I replaced the largest Serpentine belt on my 1999 Conv Vette, no real problem, I believe I used a metric # 13 wrench to move the teniometer, but I really had a tight fit on the installation, I believe I took up the tension and slide the belt over the Alternator last. Also I believe there are two belts and two teniometers, be sure and check this out. The lower one runs the Air. Doc

This is an easy job all you need is a 15 mm socket with rachet for the tensioner might as well change the air conditioner belt to its a 15 mm also and the tensioner is the pulley on the bottom
