I have a new set of leather seat coverings and hardware for my 93 vette. I am trying to find someone or a link on how to replaec the old worn out coverings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am sure somebody has done this before but have not been able to locate any good info or previous posts.

Recovering seats isn't a fun job, but it's doable with patience and a nice large, padded work surface. I think installing nice new seat surfaces over 20year old foam may not be the best way to go in the long run.

I was hoping for some directions with just the new leather not with the new foam already installed. I have a large work area to do this in and it is padded and carpeted. I am not really concerned with the old padding as it was replaced a little over two years ago by the PO. I think I will wait through the weekend and see if I get some more input. I intend to get started sometime the beginning of next week though.

Check out You Tube. There are a number of videos that will help you do your seats. Search "Corvette seat cover installation." There is a link from one of the Corvette America short You Tube videos to a 47 minute film on CA's website

catburt, I looked for the video on Corvette America and could not find one. Could you send me a link to it? That sure would help once I get the seats in my house and start the replacement.

It looks like they don't have videos specific to your year of Vette but the basic concepts should be pretty much the same.

Thank you Mac, just saved that video on my puter. My wife had surgery last Thursday and is not getting around well just yet, so playing the nurse here right now. I am hoping that on Monday I can start taking the seats out and get going on them. I can donate all the time it takes to get it right as I will be doing it in my home. Slow and steady will be the key words here so I do not get frustrated and screw something up. Thanks for the help I have gotten so far and I will keep watching this post. I may even take pics and post as the job progresses, maybe that will help another owner of these fine cars.

Good luck to your wife. I hope she's feeling better soon!! I've played nurse a couple of times over the years and it isn't always fun.
