I am in the Snellville Georgia area and am looking for a good mechanic to work on my '94. Anyone have any ideas where I could find one?

I once knew someone from Snellville! :cool

Really? From your posts lately, it sure does not seem like he is getting your car to run properly!
Maybe you should ship yours to the U.S.!;LOL

Sorry, I thought you had a sense of humor, since you had responded to some posts in a similiar fashion.

Corvette brotherhood, yes. If you recall, I have responded to a number of your posts with tips or possible fixes to the problems you were experiencing.

Hey FX GS,

Just kidding with you dude... I wish my English was better so I could cope up with your jokes... But I know you sent me lots of good information about the engine stumbling and O2 sensors.

Tell me something please, would a defective O2 sensor cause engine stumbling??? I am thinking this may be happening because the sensors may put out a "rich / lean exhaust" signal and cause improper air & fuel mixture therefore causing the engine to stumble... Now, I made an assumption here that the O2 sensor generates a signal which indicates the "rich / lean exhaust" condition.

What do you say?

I think you should get new sensors to install as this seems to be the cause of some of your problems. I believe you said that you were throwing a code for a "bad right sensor". This will certainly be an inexpensive way to see if this does in fact correct any problems.

FX GS,

I had my O2 sensors replaced on last weekend. there are 3 sensors onthe car; one on the driver side (before the cat) and 2 on the right (one before and one after the cat). I read somewhere on CAC that the O2 sensor on the passenger side, which is after the cat, does not emit any signals for the PCM, I replaced it anyways (I would replace this one with an O2 simulator if I could find one here - there was not any in the spare part shops)...

This new mechanic has the diagnostic computer and he told me that all 3 new sensors are now functioning - he had also checked them before. I also fueled up the car from a good gas station and put some injector cleaning compound in the gas. So far so good, no CES fault light or engine stumbling... Hope it goes on like this.

Thanks a million for all the information you gave me on this major headache.
