will a 315/35/17 tire fit on a 9 1/2 rim or would i have to get wider rim any help appr. thanks geo

You should have a 11 inch rim specifically the rims from a 96 collector edition

I would not recommend it and neither does GoodYear.

Check out the "SPECS" for the tire you are thinking of buying on the tirerack.com web site and look for the recommended rim width. I did a quick look at the F1 D3 and the F1 SC - GY says 10.5 to 12.5 inch rim width recommended.

Does this mean that you cannot put 315's on a 9.5 wheel - no.
Does this mean that, if you did, it would be unsafe - maybe. Depends on how you intend to drive your car.

Are you asking about a C4 or are you thinking of putting this tire wheel combo on a C5?
