Just go the new Road & Track, it compared the C6 to the 2005 Porche 911 Carrera S which is $35,000 more that the C6! Wow, it was rated number 1, the thing that made it number on was the price at the bottom line however it stacked up very well and beat the 911 in a few areas as well. Check it out, good write up.

I'm thinking that the C6 may be car of the year for 05!

Just read it this afternoon and it's a good article. I have never liked the styling of the 911. One additional comparison would be service/repair costs/time in shop etc. I have to believe that the Vette engine is a whole lot more accessible and reliable than the 911's. If money were no object ( and it is ) I believe I'd purchase the Corvette over the 911. After all the Vette is made in America ...... right? All except the LS2 and probably a few other little things........

That's funny because Car and Driver just did a C6 vs. Porsche 911 test in their December issue. Oh yeah, the C6 did beat out the 911.
