Well I finally got to take corvette to my annual road trip to mens conference.Took a friend had a blast and the preaching was great.About 259 miles round trip, was going to take it last year but clutch slave took a dump the day I was leaving.I dont get it out as much as some of you guys maybe a 1000 miles a year.Well I couldnt resist a long straight stretch of highway no other vehicles I dropped her back into 5th and let her roll right up to 132 mph.The LT4 was still pulling strong no shimmies or shakes.I was really impressed what a machine. Thanks Kevin.

LT4.........oh yeah.

Nice read. Hard to find people with LT4"s who don't love them.

I've been up to about 120 mph and everything felt tight and pulling hard....Do you recall your rpm at 132 in fifth? Sounds like you were checking out the dash as 132 is pretty precise.....

I hope you get around to driving that Vette of yours more ......I mean I only rack up about 3000 miles per year and I feel bad about that and I really ache to drive it when I'm away on business or something...but 1000 miles wow, that's light.......though maybe that explains why you like to wind her up every so often....it's quality not quantity right?........enjoy.

Roadster Guy,reply.

Sorry I didnt check the tach but it was still pulling real hard.I am pretty hard to impress cause you here and read all these stories.I had read stories on this site about lt4s going 160 and I'm yeah sure.Well now I have no dought!Mine just has some minor mods hyper-tech tuner, open air lid, power effects exhaust, hurst shifter,160 power stat but still runs 180.Like I said beore I,m 54 and hard to impress.Well that power run made me a believer! Thanks Kevin.

Had her up to a little over 150 just see what it felt like. Very stable and lots of wind noise, but the road was a little rough and I was closing on other traffic way faster than they knew. It was still pulling smoothly.

150 plus and still pulling........anyone faster than that?

Cool....and I bet there was lots of wind noise....and a happy thumping from the chest area. Wow, 132 and 150 plus......I wonder how fast some of the other LT4 guys have gone on the highways out there? Do I hear 160?

If you've got the place and good tires, go for it! Do I hear 170?

I did 155 late last year. It was still jumping 2-3 mph when I dared to look down. I don't remember the tach reading, but it obviously had some room. I'll admit my heart was racing when I came down. Hard to act cool when you're not doing it all the time.

I went to the Houston American LeMans race last weekend. Corvettes were 1st and 2nd in GT1. They are LOUD!!! Very fun to watch.
