There seems to be only two vacuum connections on my carb (on the front of the carb). Does anyone know where these should be connected? It's on a '78. Any/all help is much appreciated!
L48 or L82 motor?
On my '78 L82 I know I have at leat 3, possibly 4? on the front side of the card (sorry, car is currently at the paint shop so can't check that number for you right now).
One hose goes to the vacuum cannister on the distributor, one goes to the EFE TVS on top of the t-stat housing, and a third goes to to the EGR TVS screwed into the intake manifold near the t-stat housing.
hmmmmm, the more I think about it I'm pretty sure I DO have a larger, 4th vacuum hose also on the frontside of the carb. It's coming from the drivers side of the engine bay........ maybe from the vacuum cannister or cruise control module down below the master cylinder??? Not sure but from somewhere on that side of the engine bay. I would need to check my AIM but unless something such as some emossions equipment was removed from your car you should have at least 3 hoses going to the frontside of the carb.

Barry, I need to send you a pizza and a six pack. You've helped me twice today. I do have a L48 (resist teasing please). Do you know the hose routing to the L48 carb?

Dr.Rebuid's cataloge shows the routing for vacuum hoses. Page 87 in volume 30.
