I live 1 1/2 miles from the nearest blacktop road, so I needed some protection from rocks that are thrown up from the tires to the roll under behind both the front and rear wheels. I drive only 10 to 15 mph for that 1 1/2 miles to help but still a few rocks get picked up. I don't care for mud flaps, so I bought 3 rolls of clear vinyl from J C Whitney for about $60. It turned out to be made by Trimbrite and was about 11 thousands of an inch thick. My son did almost all of the work using the "wet" method. He covered all the roll under from behind the front wheels all the way to the rear behind the rear wheels. Two 5 7/8 strips go up to where the surface is almost vertical. He used a heat gun and formed the vinyl around the edges of the wheel openings and the doors. It took us a good 8 hours to do this, mainly because the temp was only 60 degrees, but it would go on easier if the temp was closer to 80 degrees. It is practically invisible. Will add updates to this post how the vinyl holds up. It is similar to the small patch of vinyl that came on all Chevy pickups made in the 80's. Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.
