No, naw, not the Vette
BUT, as some of you may know (and mostly hate me for it :L) I like to tow stuff with my driver. Anyway, my latest little idea was to tow a, uh, well. woodsplitter :duh
Well -- it was all good while I was taking it easy :L but as soon as I failed to consider how narrow the wheelbase was and --- kinda forgot it was back there, iit really didn't like to corner like the ole Vette :cry I rolled it, it came right off the hitch, straightened out the S hooks on the safety chain, and slid on across into the oncoming lane.
Fortunately it was early in the morning on a country road with little traffic. It tugged and pulled and yanked on me so hard I thought it had smacked up the car. I was totally shakin' as I got out of the car and checked for damage, finding none I inspected the splitter which was laying on it's side dripping gas and tranny fluid at a pretty good rate. I tried to right it, but there was no way to do it myself.
I stood there loking back and forth between the splitter and my car and lit up a smpke to calm the ole nerves a bit as several people drove by looking at me very strangely. Finally a guy came along going the same way I was and I had to flag him to warn him of the hazard, which he could not see. He was kind enough to give me a hand to right the thing and get it back on the car. This all took less than 10 min., but I was so shook up, trembling and crap that I didn't even think to get any pic's.
Bring on the flames :L The look on some a these peoples faces was worth the experience![Die Laughing ;LOL ;LOL](/data/assets/smilies/laugh.gif)
