I'm asking around so here goes...

I don't like the acrylic panel on my '90 Coupe....What are my options and how can I make something happen?

Probably be able to sell it if it's in decent condition..possibly a trade for a solid top?????

Just curious, why dont you like the see-thru top?

If you dont like the sunlight, get a headliner insert:cool

Go to the local fabric shop, get some fiberglass batting, and heavy black felt (or felt to match you paint. Get the C4 logo embossed onto the felt on both sides of the batting, and insert it into the roof with velcro strips in the corners, just like the removable liner has.

Re-doing my sagging headlines was $35. If I'd had a glass top, I'd have put Skully inside, and a C4 logo outside to show through the glass :thumb

I'm old, it's hot and not in good shape.....really weathered and rough with some minor cracking (1"-2") above the passenger door along the lower edge. The poor car was passed from soldier to soldier @ Ft Bragg for about 18 years or so before I got it in May and the top looks it.

I've looked at the overlay or pop in insert that Eckler's, Corvette central and other sell and I've also thought about painting the sucker black like the rest of the car, but I'm not sure which paint would be best suited for going over acrylic.

In the end I kinda guessed the fiberglass may be the way to go that's why I asked.
