I was just over on another (non corvette) forum and someone brought up a "fact" about the new Z06. From what I read, GM only made left side rotors, so the right side rotors are just the left side ones flipped over with the cooling vanes on the inside. This is causing some people to experience cooling issues. Anyone know about this? Is this true?

HI there,
Those are probably the same people who claimed that the Z51 rotors in 2005 experienced cooling problems.
With 5 track cars, 4 Z51 and 1 ZO6, thermal temps at Lime rock were within 75 degrees from left to right in a driving test we had there recently. This is using a Raytek, non contact infrared thermometer.
That was the MAXIMUM DIFFERENCE.
So, with that in mind, No, it is not true.

thanks. when i heard this statement i felt like it was just another attempt at corvette haters trying to come up with problems with the Z06 to keep from admitting how amazing it is. so i came to the most reputable corvette source i could think of. :D
