Help! rough idle at times

Hello everyone. I just bought an 89 coupe, she is a beautiful blue. Love her a lot, but some times she doesn't idle correctly. and wants to die. Most of the time her idle is a perfect 700 rpm's. I'm sure you all know how frustrating it can be too have your car idle rough and die at a red light. Any Ideas on what her ailment might be? Plus not sure if I have factory or after market alarm, And how to check it's proper functionality. Any Ideas fellow Corvette owners?
