rpm in 6TH GEAR - z06

Just got my Z06 and drove on the highway today. I was use to a A4 C5 that seem to on rev slightly lower @60 mph. Not readlly sure what rpm. My Z06 revs about 1800 rpm at 60. Is this normal or maybe I was still in 4th gear? Vehicle only has 2850 miles.

That is fine.
Internal gear ratios are different, in conjunction with the final drive ratio change.

1800 RPM at 60 MPH is just loafing along. My wife's BMW turns at more like 2400 at 60 MPH. Top speed in the Z06 is reached by maxing out in 5th. The stock engine will not quite add more speed in 6th.

I don't even use 6th. gear untill I reach 65 mph. The car seams happier in 5th. below 65. Otherwise it just lugs the engine too much & I've noticed slight engine pinging. Partly due, I think to Cali's low premium grade gas @ 91 oct.

Mine turns 1600 rpms @ 70 MPH in 6th on GSP
