Rubber or Poly Bushing - How to tell the diff?

Good news: I found out my front end has been rebuilt fairly recently or at least it has all new bushings.

Bad news: The left upper bushing on the sway bar is split.

Question: How can you tell if it's rubber or polyurethane? I only have to replace the one bushing but I don't want to mix compounds.

Hi
Should be easy. Touch it, rubber feels like rubber.:D
Poly feels like hard plastic , will not give a bit.
You should already be able to see it from the split itself, the way it looks like.
Good luck
Gunther

Thanks Gunther! That means I have poly which would explain the somewhat harsh ride. I'll have one poly bushing please, hold the onions:L. Yes, I'm tired and feeling a little silly.
