How many people are using run-flat tires on their Shark? If so, do you still have your spare tire on-board, or did you dump it to save weight? (after all, the Sharks are slightly on the heavy side)

spare tire

Your post about the spare tire just jolted my memory about mine, I have a 78 vette with the orginal spare tire, I haven't check it for years , it may even be flat, thanks for the reminder

when i went to look @ my spare for the very first time..... well...... there wasnt much of a tire left....... its there an ill be selling the carrier and tire itself on ebay soon....... becuase ive alwasy loved the quote that a spokesperson from lamborghini gave that ive taken as my own "Corvette drivers dont sit on the side fo the road changing tires..... " besides if somethign happened, thats what AAA is for, at least till onstar gets a add-on option to any car.......... anyway i saw the spar carrier and spare go on ebay for 113$ worht it to me....... get some cash.... :D

I took mine down a couple of years ago to get access to the rear suspension for maintenance. I never put it back!!! Have a can of Fix-a-Flat and AAA.........got all I need.

I once read, can't remember where, that the spare tire in the C3's also acts as an energy absorber in the case of being rear ended.

If I got rear ended in my baby i dont think id have the will to live anyway ;) jk good point though, i never thoguht of that........
