now, I just received my edelbrock nitrous kit in the mail today, as I was reading the instruction manual it suggested mounting in the trunk. I already thought about this, like all of you know, the vette really doesn't have a trunk. I also ordered a blow down tube(which vents the pressure burst disc to the out side of the vehicle) which I plan to install and I really don't plan on using the nitrous that often. any other safety precautions I could take to insure my safety?

Another question i have is to the fuel system, im already upgrading to a higher flowing mech fuel pump (8psi) to make up for the nitrous' piggy back fuel system, but at 8 psi do i need a pressure regulator?

ive had my bottle in side the car for at least 5 years or more.you should run a fuel pressure safety switch so if fuel pressure drops the nitrous shuts off.I now switched over the nitrous to run on my fuel injection but i ran it on my carbed motors way before that.

i recall seeing a vette on cardomain with nitrous mounted under the rear end. i dont know if its exactly "safe" but if you'd like to try to get ahold of the guy, i'll get the web page for you.

hope this helps,
