Nice to see the new Z06's are out and about being driven.

Last Thursday, I was heading north out of my little town only to pass a red Z06 about to turn left south bound back into my town.

Then Saturday, I was on a little road trip in western Oklahoma and another red C6 Z06 passed me going the opposite direction. Then he turned around and came back my way. I let him pass and waved as he did. Nice return wave also. I followed him for a bit as he was cruising a lot more over the limit that I was. After a bit, he punched it. I punched the Tuna Sport also. Needless to say, I didn't stay with him but it was fun anyway.

I've seen one

everyday at work. A member of management at our plant bought a red one in November... right after we were told that 8 company positions were being cut from my department and replaced with contractor personnel for the necessary cost savings. And about 6 weeks after our area and our people were caught in the destruction and devastation known as Katrina.

Pretty car. Must have bought it with his bonus.

Z06 LOOKOUT

Broke down and took a 3 hour drive thru upper NJ and S.E. NY state and I
didn't see ANY Z06 and maybe one vet. Where were all you people? It was 70 and sunny and great for a Sunday cruise. GET OUT THERE!!!!!!

OUT THERE

How could I see you from NJ to FL? TEST: What color Z06 was I driving? And if you saw a good looking blond in the passenger seat keep it under your hat. My wife has short brown hair (but is better looking). She just walked in as I was typing this.......shhhhhhh.

Darn, darn, darn, I have yet to even see one!

Sooner or later, I’ll get to gaze upon one of the new beauties.

It was that new Desert sunshine orange metal color, hard to tell the interior color from the distance, but it looked black, same problem about the blonde. Hard to tell, distance, thought it was a dog, maybe a collie or golden retriever. ;) :L

I have seen 3 here in Vegas. A yellow a blue and one silver. Can't wait to get the call that I can place my order.

LONG WAIT

KORVETTEKARL:
The eight weeks starting the end of Nov. 05 untill the car came in was a real long wait. The dealer called me as they were taking her off the truck. My first look (about 20 minutes later) was almost as thrilling as seeing my firstborn.
The protective coating was still on. By the way, I told the dealer that NO advertising was to be put on the car and ALL available paperwork was to be delivered with the car. It will be hard, but you have to wait that first 500 miles before using the competition mode and full throttle. One more suggestion, the wife doesn't like the full first gear throttle. Break a leg!!!!!

There's a killer black one I've seen 3 or 4 times on the bypass near my house. But I've only seen it while in my Vette once, and yes, he waved.

See one of what? A C6 Z06 or a hottie? If you see mine you will get the best of both worlds. I just love setting it to competition mode and winding her up to 6300 in first. Can't do it today though. Would you believe it is snowing and Sunday it was 70.

Yes the waiting is the hardest thing to do. Stuck in the office today waiting to drive the 05 DSOM home. At least I have that to curb my apetite. I knew when I bought the 05 that I would want a Z06 but just couldn't wait.

I’ve even been visiting the local Chevy dealers, they’ve all pretty much told me the same thing. When a new Z06 comes in, they’re all sold and are immediately picked up by the new owners... so I’ve been striking out at dealers too! :cry

We’re just now starting to get warmer temps here in central Ohio (into the 60° range) and I’m seeing more Corvettes on the road now. A ’06 Z06 spotting has to be around the corner for me!

Anybody know if there is a specific sales brochure for the Z06 or is the Z06 incorporated into the ’06 Corvette brochure?

SALES BROCHURE REQUEST

There is a great GM 22 Page full color Details Book that a local dealer gave me that not only shows the 06 Z06, but has great head to head comparisons; not only between our beloved 06 Z06 and Vipers, but also against Porsche 911 Turbos. The only I.D. I can find on the back page is:
Course Number

Oh oh, I just read the following on page 1:
"THIS MATERIAL IS NOT LEGALLY APPROVED FOR USE IN ANY ADVERTISING. IT IS INTENDED FOR USE BY DEALERSHIP EMPLOYEES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE DISSEMINATED TO, OR REVIEWED BY, CONSUMERS.

I got the book from a dealer after I had placed my order with another dealer. He had 2 in stock on the floor already sold and gave me this and other literature in hopes of getting an order. It would have been an 8 month wait at MSRP. This was the dealer who screwed me on an oil change on my 90TT.

Thanks for the info! I am going to see if I can purchase the book somehow. That’d be great for my ever growing Corvette brochure collection.

I just received my ’06 brochure in the mail yesterday from GM. A saleswoman at a local dealer ordered it for me because they were fresh out. She took my home address and had it FedExed to my house.
