sbc tri power issues

I've been thinking of putting a tri power setup on my 1982 crossfire. As I live in California, I have to take it off and put it back on every 2 years when smog cert is due.

My question to any member who is familar with 1982 crossfire and the onboard computer interface is: can I just disconnect the computer modules, drop the pre-configured tri power set up on to the sbc with little problems? I would leave the old crossfire setup complete and mark all wires to aid in putting it back on.

Sounds like a neat project!

Not sure who sells a SBC tripower, but if you could use GM two barrel TBIs and interface them together... that would be really cool.
