Seat belt mounting

Hey guys, when mounting the shoulder harness mechanisms in my '74 coupe, do the boxes point toward the back of the car or the front? I did a search on this subject and there was a mention of a teather wire. Did my car have this? Thanks for being here for guys like me. peace :cool

I think they point forward. My interior was original when I got the car, and I put everything back like the pictires I took. I'll look on mine this evening. Don't know about the wire.
