I'm assuming that you mean the lap belt and not shoulder belt. I took my lap belts out and lubed them to free them up, so they would work better. It helped, but they were kind of rusty and I didn't think they were the safest looking. I ended up putting in the late model Camaro/Firebird rear seat belts. So now I have a much safer 3-point harness . As far as replacing yours, good luck finding replacements. If you find replacements, they will cost big bucks. I've read that many people have had theirs rebuilt by Snake-Oyl(http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/), do a search on this forum. I've also seen a lot of aftermarket 3-point harnesses available for a lot less money, if originality isn't a concern. Good luck.
