Seat Covers

I'm planning on ordering leather seat covers for my '71.

I just tried to order them on Corvette Central's web site and it was a PITA. I had the part #'s I wanted but there was supposed to be a "special coupon" that I got through on of their e-mails for fee shipping. COuldn't figure out where to enter the coupon # so I called their order line. Got put on hold for several minutes and go ttired of waiting (I'm in Japan right now, so it also got a little costly).

I also notice that the price quoted over the internet is US$ 50.00 more than the catalog I have, which I just got last year. I think that's a pretty substantial price jump. I know that every ting is going up in price (except my wages) with the oil thing, but that still seems a little extreme to me. Guess that's how they make up for free shipping !!!

Anyway.... any suggestions as to who to use for leather seat covers for a '71 ?

Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

I got the covers for my '81 from Wilcox (http://www.willcoxcorvette.com/). They had the best price and the seats were nice. Replace the foam and pay to have them done. I did my own and it was a ROYAL PITA.

Wilcox covers are actually made by Corvette Central. I bought mine from Wilcox.

Al Knoch if you want top of the line. Eckler's if they still make their own.

Al Knoch for the best. Otherwise, The Last Detail here in Atlanta is very customer friendly. When I replaced mine I think they were selling the Corvette Central product.

Corvette Central doesn't make seat covers - they sell Al Knoch and Corvette America covers; I think Willcox also sells Corvette America soft trim.

do any of you have pictures of the installed seat covers from the above mentioned? or even door panels? im going to redo the entire interior coming up here in a month or so when the weather goes cold...

Al made a set of leathers for my 68 Camaro right from scratch identical to the vinyl originals showm below. I also have them in my 62 and 68 Vettes and also in my 67 Camaro but no interior shots of these cars.
