Is it possible/easy (used loosely) to replace the seat foam and reuse your seat covers?

My seat covers are in great condition, just need a little cleaning but my seat foam I think is infested with mold/mildew:( . I was hoping to save the money of replacing the covers because they are in such great condition and just replacing the seat foam.

any ideas?

I dont see why not. If your existing covers are in good shape then just replace the foam. You will save money on the covers but if I was going to put on new foam I would problaly replace the seat covers just my 2c. The covers are not that much more and you will be pleased that you did.

You said the covers weren't much more?? Am I missing something. The ones I found were $499?????? I know they are leather but that is what came in the care. Are the vinyl simulated leather worth the money??

I didnt realize that you had Leather ones ... I installed the Leather Like on mine and I paid I think like $220 for the set.

BLASTER, i have 79-82 seats in my car. i went with leather-like due to cost and the fact,in florida we have really wet humid days. i didn't think leather would last long here.
i bought mine thru WILCOX INC ,you can find them on ebay.mine cost 130.00 plus shipping..

robin74, how do you like the ones from wilcox? good quality/feel.

How about you tx, do you like the leather like ones. I am thinking about them since mine is not an original car anyway.
