All,

I own a 62,67,68 and an 04 Z06 and am 6'1''. I hadn't thought of this until I was talking to a friend who just bought an 09 Viper (i apologize up front) he also is tall. The previous owner had the viper seats lowered so he wasn't looking through top of the windshield.
Has anyone tried lowering their seats in C1s and C5s? the C2 coupe and C3 convert aren't too bad.

Thanks,

Jim

It seems like this has come up before. A close inspection of how much room you have between the seat cushion bottom and the floor should tell you if it's possible. Shortening the mounting legs on the seat tracks would be about the only way I could think of doing this without sacrificing comfort by reworking the seat springs and keeping the seat operating. I've ridden in a few C1s over the years with bad seat springs where you basically were sitting on the floor, or at least bounced off the floor on bumps. Not the best deal.

Thanks Tom,

They are newly reupholstered seats. I'll pull a seat and see how hard it will be if possible to shorten them up..
