Have a 93 with sport seats-the bolster is badly worn from getting in & out--common problem am told--called Al Knoch interiors & if i send them the bolster, they will recover it. My question is-how to remove it. I can tell it is a separate piece from the rest of the seat, but need guidance from someone who has done this.It is the lower part on the seatback. Seats have power lumbar (not working of course) Any advice will be helpful.

What you're going to have to do is remove the entire seat cause you have to get at the leather from the bottom. Move seat forward and get the jack outta the way. Undo the nuts behind the adjusters (rails). Now push the seat back--take off the cushion and undo the electrical connections. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the solenoid. Undo that solenoid connection, the strap, retainer and relay. Carefully pry off the retainers for the adjustment covers. Remove the floor stud-nuts from the front of the adjusters. Take the entire seat out with the adjusters.

Check out either the Vette or Corvette Fever magazine websites and do a search. There's a step-by-step how-to in one of them--I forget which.
Good luck!
