I am going to try and rebuild the power seattracks in my 88. Does anyone know where you can get the gears? I have good power on the motor, but in many directions, all I get is clicking and whirring. Mid America sells them rebuilt, but wants $250 each.

Your not going to find a rebuild kit... I have been looking for over 4 months.
Best thing you can do is buy a wrecked cars seat tracks, then sell your broken ones on Ebay. For some reason, people are buying the broken ones...

$200 is a typical price for a rebuilt seat track assembly in any of the various catalogs. I think that the track assemblies are done by a third party and sold thru the catalogs.

GM (AC Delco or Delphi) quit making the parts long ago and independent companies now make the components to sell to rebuilders. If the parts were sold at retail, the chances are that the rebuilders would go belly-up and we would save some on the Corvette "tax". But we all know that can't happen as long as there are accesory catalogs.

Ive been searching for a rebuild kit for years now. I dont think theres anything out there.
