The seat tracks on my 64 are pretty sloppy and sometimes slip a notch so I was thinking about replacing them. I did a search and could not find any info in this forum so if anyone could let me know if this is a simple task or better left to a pro it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Replacing the seat tracks will be easy. Remove the seats (bolts through the floor into metal nut plates under the fiberglass), turn the seats upside down and check their operation to be sure that new tracks are really what you need.

I agree. My tracks were just cruded up and needed one small repair. They are good as new now.

I had the same problem with my seats in my 64. I took them out and removed the seat cover and the foam off of the frame, being carefull to not distroy anything so I could reuse it. I then took the frame apart and cleaned all the gunk off of them. Then I sanded and repainted them and assempled with new grease, but the seat bottom back on with new clips from Corvette Central and now they work great. Not a bad job to do and cheaper then new frame work, which I did see in the Paragon cat.
