Yeah, if you look at my seats from the front or rear of the car they point in towards each other and it is very annoying. I have a theory that the seats were switched around if that's even possible?? Looking to get this fixed, very ugly.

So, if you switched them, would they be pointing away from each other? That doesn't make sense because they are on a track, and they should be the same regardless of which side they are on. Let us know what you find out. :w

Well I've only had this car a month and didn't even notice until after a week or so of having the car. I noticed it and have been wanting to fix it but I think the backs might be angled so if you were to switch them somehow they would align right and sit upright. If I can't find a fix I'm just going to get race seats.

Assuming I might be correct, do you guys think I should swap the whole seats out or just the backs seperate from the bases?

stock seats base are not really interchangeable due to the seat belt tenisoner/seat back adjuster, on the front corner. The backs are however interchangable from side to side as well as the cushions. I rotate my cushions every 2 years to keep even wear. So unless your stock seats are really worn out or something is broke in there, they should for the most part point straight forward and be even appering as viewed from the back. Good luck.

they're put in ''crooked'' on purpose...supposedly looks better to most if ''angled''....i too hated the '' collision course effect'', went aftermarket seats but red color on new seats matches 88+ and not my 86, so now will either go to ''all black'' (probly, even tho the aftmkt seats need ''mods'' to narrow for fit) or cut/weld the oem bottom mounting ''feet'' of both sides to get parallel (messy, probly not)...note that in pic attached my aftmkt seats appear angled ''out'' when if fact they are laser aligned parallel and appear ll in real life (???)

They do tilt inward a little. However I found on more than one C4 that someone was placing the jack in the wrong place and this will distort the floor pan and cause the seats to lean further inward. It is an easy fix with the seat removed if that is what you find.

A 10 pound sledge and a 2x4 works well to put the floor pan back into its proper shape.
Just don't go wild.

so just swap em!!

Hey it's 8 easy to undo nuts and 2 electrical connections(seat belt), so why don't you take a 1/2 hour and see if it solves your problem.????;shrug
