Hi and thanks in advance. I hope two questions in one day are not beyond the "bag limit" ?
Recently bought a very low (6,500 miles), convertible. I was aware of the "seat rock" problem from reading prior posts and did try to check for that when I bought the car however though it doesn't seem to "rock", there does seem to be a bit of slip both fore ad aft in the seat tracks if you apply the brakes and/or accelerate. I also got a comment from my pal in the passenger seat so it's on both sides. I thought from reading a long time ago that there was a plastic spacer associated with the tracks and they shrink and become compressed over time. Is this an expensive fix? With age, my close vision is failing a bit and my ability with a wrench was never my strong suit, even though I was an aircraft mech in the military (now that's a scary thought isn't it?), so I'll have to send it out for repairs.
