Technical Advisor
This is just a simple rundown of things that will be at the Corvetteactioncenter seminars in Carlisle on 27-29August.
The seminar times will be Friday at 12pm, Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 9am.
We will be covering all aspects of c5, and maybe a little c6 if the need arises.
We will have on hand a 4L60-E cutaway transmission, with all the internal exposed, to illustrate exactly what happens when your transmission shifts and why certain failures occur.
A torque tube driveline support will also be there.
A T-56 manual transmission that will also be cutaway, to illustrate exactly what occurs when you are using a manual transmission and ways that you can maintain the unit to function at its best.
A clutch assembly from a ZO6, a torque converter and a valve body to illustrate actual shifting function.
Numerous control computers, harnesses, splicing examples of what and what NOT to do when repairing wiring.
A positraction gear set from a Getrag 3.42 rear axle, including clutches and preload belleville washers to show exactly how the 'posi' works.
We will also have TSBs in a binder, for reference as well as diagrams and illustrations of certain components.
There will be many reference materials including actual Corvette Training videos that we as technicians use to maintain our knowledge of Corvette.
There will be plenty of question and answer time, so please have some really great questions while there.
I hope to see as many of you as possible and please do not hesitate to introduce yourself to either myself, Bradfordsvettes or any of our other members who will be there in attendance.
Thank you for all your support that have come from so many people, ROB, RARE81, HIB, CHICK, BRADFORDSVETTES, BOWTIEBANDIT AND THE REST.
Allthebest, c4c5
PS, if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to post here
