I try to go to a restoration workshop or two each year and have really learned a lot over the past few years. This year I signed up for the hands on "Rebuild and Replace Your Engine" class. The cost was only $100. I have done an engine rebuild/hop up on an 81 I once owned but feel I could still stand to learn something. Last year I went to Gordon Killebrew's class on C4 troubleshooting. He used my car as one of the demonstrators and fixed a few things right there on the spot. I learned a bunch. If you plan to go and want a reasonably priced motel go to priceline.com and bid $45 per night for a 2 star hotel within 20 miles of St. Charles. I did this last year and again today and got the Candelstone Inn in Warrenville. It is a nice place that is only about 11 miles from the show. The motel is an extended stay type place and has a kitchen and everything including a VCR and a recliner. They have a laundry on site and an excercise room and country store. It is fairly new and well kept. Last year the staff had a Friday night cookout with free dogs, burgers, pop and beer. I love the place!
