The ABS & Traction Control lights stay on periodically when I start my car. This will go on for a couple of days then I have no problem for days or weeks before it happens again. I checked the DIC's and the only one that comes up is C1214 which is in the TCS section. If anyone has any information on this problem please let me know, as I don't like driving without ABS and TC

Thanks for the response on my problem, and the link to "ABS/Traction Control comes on periodity"
I follow the sugestion about cleaning and lubication the "Ground Connections" which didn't make the lights go out, but I now have good clean ground connections.
Next I tapped on the EBCM unit with a small wooden mallet to help un-stick the selonoids, which was reccomended by another member, this did the trick and the warning lights went out and both systems work great now.
I was glad that this did the trick as my 03 only has about 17,000 miles on it.

Shame on GM for not building a more "Robust" ABS system, as I had a similar problem on my 97, which I solved by using the ABS system periodically to help keep the valves loosened up and the warning lights from coming on.I read a lot of good reviews about www.absfixer.com who make a good living rebuilding the sub-standard GM EBCM units.
Tanks for everyone's input on this subect.
