Well, the rear end isn't finished and she can't breathe yet but I drove her anyway. You can feel the 540's potential in your gut and the Keisler trans is fantastic, the throws are very short and precise. I think I am going to try and get her to Stahl tomorrow for the headers and exhaust so she can sing at Carlisle. I won't have time to build the rear end though so I will have to be somewhat careful after I get her back from Stahl. He is close to Carlisle so I hope to pick the car up from him on Thursday night and drive in to Carlisle Friday morning. I did get to play a little on Rt. 84 by Milford Pa. In 5th the engine is loafing at 120 mph. Very cool. The sound, even though it's strangled, is really glorious. When the exhaust is finished it'll sound like GOD is talking to you. Also, she feels a lot more nimble. The diet of aluminum probably lost 150 lbs. from the front end and moved a little to the middle down low. Temperature was excellent 155-175 until I pulled in the garage and shut down. This will make a great garage heater. Well, thanks to all on the list that helped with info and I hope to see everyone at Carlisle.

PS Here are some pics.

Sound like a great combo
That has to just pull like heck with all those cubic inches.
Is staul going to pull the motor to make the headers?

Best of luck

He does not have to pull the engine but he does have the car.

I had better bring a lot of drool rags with me...no one will want me slobbering all over their shinny cars, never mind their motors......

Gerry,

are you running stock wheels and tires on your 67? Are the thumbnails pictures of the same car? The paint looks a little different in each picture...maybe its my imagination.

Hi Tim,

As of now I am running the 6 " rallye wheels with 235x60x15 michelins but soon I will upgrade to eights or sevens back and sevens front with 255 or 245 x 50 or 60 x15 back and 225 or 235 50 or 60 x15 front. Pics are of same car and do look different but its because flurescent lights do funny things. Color is more like engine pic not back end pic. It is original sunfire yellow and the whole car looks the same.
