Shift Leather Boot

Its about time to change my leather shift boot on my 90 6 speed. I was looking at the leather boots on Mid America Motorsports and am just wodnering if they are a direct swap from the origanl one i have. http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.50.728

There is a ring on the shifter that i have to pull up before i shift to reverse. Im just wondering if it is easy to attach the new leather boot to that ring? Mine is all torn so i cant really see how it went on properly.
I also need that little plastic piece that shows the shift pattern ontop of the knob. I tried searching on mid america but cant find? Does anyone know where i can get one...or am i blind and it is on the site?

My leather boot is stock and is just a snug slide-on to that ring.

The new boot will require your old ring. The shifter knob top piece is harder to come by.

On the MAD link I see al different colours

I thought the factory original were all black, or am I wrong.

It brought me a good idea of using some leather from the old seatcovers to create my own shift boot in Graphite
