Shimming t-tops

anyone got advice for shimming the 2 inner hold down latches on a 2 latch type fiberglass t-top? Got the outside adjusted correctly (easy to do with the screws with the rubber ends), but have to shim it a little tighter in the middle. Got the shims coming in the mail. Didn't know if there is a better way to tell how many need to go where than having to add 1, test fit, remove, add, subtract, etc. guess trial and error and having someone inside the car to see how they fit will help.

That's how I did it, sorry, however you can test fit the top while the screws are still loose to see if you're in the ballpark. Really not that tough of a procedure. I believe two or three per should do it. Good luck.
