Which shocks they are about the same price range
QA1 non adjustable $80.00 each
Bilstiens $80.00
Koni Adjustable $90.00
It a DD Street car not a race car never will see the track.
NO KYB’s

I'd go with the Bilstiens.... I have KYBs now and they are not bad shocks, just not the same as the OEM Blistens that were on my vette. I am going back to Bilstiens when these KYBs wear out.

Well...
I'm Bilstein prejudiced. I've tried many others for various reasons and I keep coming back to Bilsteins. The biggest reason is that they perform. gaurenteed.
The "street DD" set up is good for just about anything you;ll ever do on the street, being firm enough to hold the road but soft enough to drink your coffee..You can buy or order your Bilsteins set up for firm or soft handling, fast or slow dampening...whatever you want. They are rebuildbale also, although that will cost the same as buying new bilsteins. They are new when they are returned, but set up how you want them, not how the marketing or research dept decided. I've got 2 sets (one in a box and one installed) and need to send one in for rebuild...I just can;t decide if I'll be keeping the stiff/fast rear spring or not. I'll probably go with a nice comfy street set up this time and hang up the stop light racer attitude. Kids in can-cars are less common lately and I'm getting too old for KYBs or road racing. KYBs come with a free appt at a local chiropractor....;)

Bilsteins also have "progressive dampening" so the first 1" is easy/soft then it firms up as the suspension travels. The other guys don;t have this. They also have a good design for the gas/oil control with a floating internal seal, so the oil chamber holds the fluid for dampening while the gas chamber holds the nitrogen no matter where the shock is, compressed or extended.
Bottom line, they're worth the money. Being adjustable is nice for a bike, but how practical is it on a car? I wonder how many people do auto-cross seriously and don;t swap out for real track shocks when they do...? Adjustable is a nice feature when its on a switch in the cabin...manual just seems like a PITA and would be used once until you discover how much of a PITA it is to change shock settings and do the test and adjust again...

Koni Reds or Yellows whats better.
Looking for a DD type shock not a race car shock.

Me, too. I really like my Bilstein rebuilts, done to Corvette Challenge specs... MUCH MORE than the stock settings that came on this Z-51 car.

I am getting a set of red Konis I got a deal on them.

I end up getting a set of Koni red ajustable shocks they should be here this comming week.
