shop manual

Ive been looking for a shop manual for my 65. what recomendations does anyone have. Ive been told hanes does not have one. I havnt worked on cars in a long time so I need something that is stright foward and somewhat easy to understand . Thanks for any help. Roland.

Hard to beat the factory manual(s); don't waste your money on Haynes, which covers many years in very little detail... you need a 63 Corvette shop manual + a 65 supplement...

I agree with Wayne. The factory books have the correct procedures and wiring diagrams, written so that the average 60s mechanic could do the jobs.

I also picked up a smaller Chilton that covers 63-67 Corvettes, which is always in the car's storage area. The small book travels well and provides short cut advice that the factory books do not have.
