Didn't realize how unprepared I was until I tried to put the tags on my 2003. Nothing in the manual explains to the uninformed how to take off the front panel & my dealer seems to be too busy to add new plates. I am looking for some locations to get manuals/documentation for my C5.:confused I tried online and must not be using the right search phrases.

Your dealer, or one of the forum dealers should be able to fix you up with a set of shop manuals.

Now, the front cover is fairly easy to remove. You will need a small diameter shaft Phillips head screwdriver. Look carefully in the gap on the bottom of the cover. There are two small, black screws. You may need to use one of your fingers to lightly "lift" the cover to spread the gap apart. Remove the two screws and pull the bottom of the cover out. The cover should then "fall off".

Thanks for the tip!! I tried my dealer again today, waited out my lunch time then left again. I just didn't want to ruin to face of my car doing something stupid myself. Sounds way to easy.:BOW

It really is easy to do yourself. A good, clean screwdriver won't harm your car either; at least it hasn't on ours - with our dark color it would show up easy.

The screws can be a little stiff, so take your time when removing them. Don't be afraid to use a little "muscle" though.

you can buy them from Helms manuals. They run about $150 and worth every penny. Just use helms manuals as your search criteria.
