I need to replace the water pump and some pulleys on my 69' vette (350 ci).
What I've to choose? Long type or short type water pump???;shrug

Short

My '72 takes a short style. I'm running this one:

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/water_pumps/high_perf.shtml

Since I was there, I put in a high-flow 180 degree thermostat and run Red Line "Water Wetter". If you look around in here, you will see differing opinions on the matter. This works for me. 383 stroker (dyno 344 hp/434 ft. lbs. with stock exhaust manifolds) and stall converter. Kansas in June stayed at 170 degrees at 75 mph, occassionally to 180 degrees in low speed, in town traffic/idling.

Hope this is helpful. :)

I know that Corvettes from 1969 to 1971 had a special water pump, not only the lenght type change but also the shaft diameter...

Edelbrock 88104 Endurashine short water pump 5/8" shaft just ordered from Jeg's...
Thanks:beer
