Anybody running "Shortie" headers on an LT1?...

If so, do you have any trouble getting the header gaskets to seal properly and not leak?

I'm looking at some JBA shorty style headers, used, off a neighbors car. He switched to stock iron manifolds because he said they would not seal very well! They are ceramic coated and VERY cheap to me.

Anybody have any experience with these?

The best way I have found to seal headers is with ultra copper hi-temp silicone sealeant made by Permatex its......I used it witout gaskets and never head a problem. Can be used with gaskets also. I highly recommend it. Sold at all major auto suppliers. There's one near you.:D
