75 blown bigblock
Had a good weekend. Got the pan installed and Doug came over and helped me lift the blower on.. It is a two man job.

The motor is almost done, just a little work on the carbs and they can go back on.
Carguy4sure/Doug and Brian/Vettr talked me into these valve covers. They are morosso with no logo. I think they top of the motor.
I was looking in the manual on the blower and it was 1999 when I first put it on. This is my first time touching the combination. Hope it work as good as the old setup

I want to do a technical post on HOW to install a pan. Watch for it.

Very clean...great looking engine!:beer

Thank you but I already have plans for next year. I will jack the top end up and drop a 565 short block under there.
I was orginially going for a 632 but that requires the tall block and that makes the engine too wide for our vets and makes nearly every part on my top end useless.
With a 565 I can use my heads, intake, oil pan, headers, cam everything and it all bolts right back together.
The short block will run me about $6000CDN
That is the plan anyway.

Living where you do, and with all the mods you make, when do you find the time to drive this beast? And where is there a big enough playground for the shakedowns? Around here, I wouldn't be able to get that thing out of the neighborhood without getting jumped on by some government agency.:upthumbs

I work on the car between October 1st and May 1st. I work at least 1 more like 2 hours every single day and sometimes more. I spend alot of time riding horses, shoing horses for money on the side but I always find time for the car.
I live a balanced life with the house, horses , wife and the car. The car is last on the list of things to do.
Come May1st it is driving time and I just refine what I have, spending only time tuning, adjusting and making changes to the setup. Nothing major.
Once a week I meet with 2 guys with fast corvettes and we take a long hard run across country tempting fate and a massive ticket. We run secondary roads at up to triple the speed limits. It is not a good practice but it sure is fun, gets the blood running and gives us something to look forward too each week.
It doesn't take long to reach these speeds and the speeds in the corners is getting dangerously high.
I might be posting from jail if I ever get caught.
Horsepower is addicting and if you have 900 you want 1000.
Next year.

I live in what's called a "no fly zone"...for various reasons!
