Question: Side Window Scratches

I am noticing that my passenger and driver windows are getting scratched more and more as I roll up and roll down my windows...

Any way to stop this scratching? What causes this?

Coming from someone who has removed the entire window assembly.....That would depend on what side the scratches are felt. I am assuming this scratch is something you could feel....On the outside glass: rivets that hold the outer window wipe are contacting the glass. On the inside: there are many possible locations....

im having the same issue, but only on the passenger side. its happening on the inside of the window. i haven't found what is doing it, but luckily its so far only scratched the tint.

If it's IN the glass, it's gonna' take a buffer and polishing compound. And there might be some distortion afterwards, depending on how deep they are...

First things first, considering the scratches aren't epic caverns, this is your only way to fix the scratches short of replacing the glass. This is a proven product so think about it:

How's your window trim moulding? If its old it gets hard and brittle and cracks and even a lttle bit can scratch the window too.

The trim moulding is good. I guess its internal, but I would hate to touch my door pannels...

The scratches are not big, but they are slowly getting bigger as I use the windows...

Its coming from the outside of the window...
